Planting & Care Tips

Plant individual Rotala Rotundifolia Red stems in suitable aquarium substrate, leaving enough space between stems for light penetration and healthy growth. Planting several stems together creates a fuller, more colourful display.

Provide suitable lighting, balanced nutrients and stable water conditions. Stronger lighting can intensify reddish coloration, while CO₂ supplementation supports faster growth and denser foliage. The plant can grow without injected CO₂, although its colour and compactness may be less pronounced.

Trim the upper stems regularly to encourage side shoots and maintain a bushy appearance. Replant healthy cuttings to expand your plant group and create a vibrant aquarium background.
