Planting & Care Tips

Plant individual Rotala Rotundifolia Orange Juice stems in suitable aquarium substrate, leaving adequate space between stems for light penetration and healthy growth. Grouping several stems together creates a fuller, more attractive display.

Provide moderate to strong lighting, balanced nutrients and stable water conditions. CO₂ supplementation is optional but can significantly improve growth density and colour development. A balanced aquarium fertiliser containing essential micronutrients can help maintain healthy foliage.

Trim the upper stems regularly to encourage side shoots and maintain a compact appearance. Replant healthy cuttings to expand your plant group and create a beautiful orange-toned aquarium background.

The intensity of the orange coloration depends on lighting, nutrients, CO₂ availability and plant health. Under lower lighting, the foliage may remain greener or develop less intense colour.
