Plant Pogostemon Stellatus Octopus stems securely in suitable aquarium substrate, leaving sufficient space between stems for healthy growth. Grouping several stems together creates a lush, flowing background.

This adaptable plant can grow under low to moderate lighting and does not require injected CO₂. Additional CO₂ and balanced nutrients can encourage faster growth and denser foliage.

Trim the upper stems regularly to maintain the desired height and encourage side shoots. Healthy cuttings can be replanted directly into the substrate to grow new plants. Its long leaves also provide useful hiding places for small fish, shrimp and fry.
