Planting & Care Tips

Plant Pogostemon Dassen Purple stems individually in nutrient-rich aquarium substrate, leaving adequate space between stems for light penetration and healthy development. Grouping several stems together creates a fuller, more vibrant display.

Provide strong lighting, stable CO₂ supplementation and balanced macro- and micronutrients. Consistent fertilisation, including suitable micronutrients such as iron, supports healthy foliage and colour development. Sudden changes in lighting, CO₂ or water conditions may affect growth and coloration.

Trim the upper stems regularly to encourage side shoots and maintain a dense, colourful cluster. Replant healthy cuttings to expand your plant group and create an eye-catching aquarium background.
