This fast-growing plant may develop long stems that reach the water surface. Trim regularly to prevent excessive spreading and shading of neighbouring plants. Healthy stem cuttings can be replanted to produce new growth.
When grown floating, its hanging roots can provide shelter for small fish and shrimp. In open aquascapes, regular pruning helps maintain a neat, attractive appearance.
