Planting & Care Tips

Plant Hydrocotyle Verticillata in small sections across the foreground or midground, allowing enough space for its creeping stems to spread. Provide suitable lighting, balanced nutrients and stable water conditions to encourage healthy growth.

Stronger lighting helps maintain a shorter, more compact appearance, while lower light may cause the stems to stretch upward. CO₂ supplementation can improve growth and help the plant establish more effectively in a densely planted aquarium.

You can also grow this versatile plant in moist, semi-aquatic setups. Trim excess growth regularly to maintain your desired aquascape and prevent neighbouring plants from becoming shaded.
