Planting & Care Tips

Plant Ludwigia Senegalensis stems in nutrient-rich aquarium substrate, leaving enough space between stems for light penetration. Avoid overcrowding, as shaded lower leaves may deteriorate.

Provide strong lighting, balanced nutrients and stable water conditions. CO₂ supplementation can improve growth and colour development, although performance varies with the aquarium setup. Consistent fertilisation, including suitable micronutrients and iron, helps maintain healthy foliage and visible vein patterns.

Trim healthy stems as needed and replant suitable cuttings to expand your plant group. Avoid sudden fluctuations in lighting, CO₂ supply or fertilisation, as this plant can be sensitive to inconsistent growing conditions.
