Planting & Care Tips

Plant Ludwigia Ovalis stems individually in suitable aquarium substrate, leaving enough space between stems for light penetration and healthy growth. Grouping several stems together creates a fuller, more attractive display.

Provide moderate to strong lighting, balanced nutrients and stable water conditions. CO₂ supplementation can improve growth and help develop more intense coloration, although the plant may also grow without injected CO₂ in suitable low-tech setups.

Trim longer stems regularly to encourage side shoots and maintain a compact arrangement. Healthy cuttings can be replanted to expand your plant group. Some leaf changes may occur as emersed-grown plants adapt to submerged aquarium conditions.
