Pogostemon Dassen Purple Submerged

Add spectacular pink, orange and purple tones to your aquascape with Pogostemon Dassen Purple Submerged! This premium aquatic stem plant features slender, needle-like leaves arranged in distinctive star-shaped whorls, creating a striking focal point in freshwater planted aquariums.

Pogostemon stellatus 'Dassen' Purple is especially attractive in high-tech aquascapes, where its delicate submerged foliage can develop vibrant magenta and reddish-purple shades. Planting & Care Tips

Plant Pogostemon Dassen Purple Submerged stems individually in nutrient-rich aquarium substrate, leaving sufficient space between stems for light penetration and healthy development.

Provide strong lighting, consistent CO₂ supplementation and balanced macro- and micronutrients. Adequate iron and other essential nutrients support healthy foliage and colour development. Stable water conditions are important, as this plant can respond poorly to sudden changes in CO₂, lighting or fertilisation.

Trim the upper stems carefully to encourage side shoots and maintain a dense, colourful cluster. Replant healthy cuttings to expand your plant group. Although the submerged form is adapted to underwater growth, some adjustment after planting may still occur.
