Gertrude Rainbow

Gertrude Rainbow, also known as Gertrude's Spotted Blue-eye (Pseudomugil gertrudae), is a small, lively freshwater fish admired for its delicate fins, spotted patterns, and attractive colours. Its compact size makes it appealing for planted aquariums and carefully planned nano community tanks.

Keep this fish in a mature aquarium with stable water conditions, gentle filtration, aquatic plants, and open swimming areas. Gertrude Rainbowfish are active shoaling fish and should be kept in an appropriate group. Offer small, appropriately sized foods to suit their mouths.

Care tips:

• Temperature: Approximately 24–28°C

• Aquarium: Mature freshwater tank

• Diet: Micro pellets, fine foods, and suitable small frozen or live foods

• Behaviour: Active and generally peaceful

• Group: Keep in a suitable group

• Compatibility: Small, peaceful tank mates with compatible requirements
