Borneo Sucker

Bring a unique river-inspired look to your aquarium with the Borneo Sucker! This fascinating hillstream fish features a flattened body, distinctive markings and specialised fins that help it cling to rocks and other surfaces in flowing water.

Aquarium Care Tips

Borneo Suckers need more specialised care than many ordinary tropical aquarium fish. Provide strong filtration, good water circulation and plenty of established algae and biofilm on rocks. Supplement their natural grazing with suitable plant-based foods.

Avoid placing them in warm, poorly oxygenated or newly established aquariums with little available biofilm. Maintain stable water conditions and monitor their body condition to ensure they are feeding adequately.
