Aquarium Setup and Care

Simply place Phyllanthus Fluitans on the water surface and allow its roots to hang freely in the water. It absorbs nutrients directly from the water column, so planting it in substrate is unnecessary.

Provide suitable lighting and balanced nutrients to encourage healthy growth and attractive red tones. Keep the water surface relatively calm, as constant splashing or water droplets on the leaves can cause damage. Maintain an open area around the floating plants to ensure adequate light reaches submerged plants below.

The dangling roots provide extra surface area for biofilm and can offer shelter for shrimp and small fish fry. Thin the floating cover regularly to prevent it from shading the entire aquarium.
