Aquarium Setup and Care

Provide a mature, well-filtered freshwater aquarium with stable water conditions, gentle water flow, plants and plenty of hiding places. Small caves, driftwood and rock crevices help the fish feel secure and provide spawning sites.

Peacock Gobies appreciate a varied, protein-rich diet. Offer appropriately sized foods in small portions and observe their feeding response to ensure they receive enough nutrition.

They can coexist with suitably sized, peaceful tank mates. Avoid aggressive or substantially larger fish, and remember that very small shrimp or fry may be vulnerable to predation. Use a secure aquarium lid because this species can jump.
